Born and raised in Hartford, Connecticut, Brian Cloud received his undergraduate degree at the University of Notre Dame, where he graduated with a B.A. in history and government. In 2001, Mr. Cloud graduated with honors from Cumberland School of Law, Samford University with a J.D. and an M.B.A. He was licensed to practice law and admitted to the Georgia Bar in 2001, followed by the Alabama Bar in 2003, and continues to the current time to be a member in good standing in both jurisdictions.
After practicing for several years with a large Atlanta law firm, in 2003 Mr. Cloud was a founding member of what is now Cloud Willis & Ellis, LLC, a full service law practice. While Mr. Cloud’s practice encompasses all aspects of the law, he has distinguished himself in real estate, corporate law, and creditors’ rights law.

Born and raised in Lexington, Virginia, Harrison Willis received his undergraduate degree at Rhodes College, where he graduated with a B.A. in history. In 2001, Mr. Willis graduated from Cumberland School of Law, Samford University with a J.D. He was licensed to practice law and admitted in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the State of Alabama.
After law school, Mr. Willis served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable William F. Stone, Jr., U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Western District of Virginia. Prior to joining Cloud Willis & Ellis as an associate in 2008, Mr. Willis practiced with a Birmingham law firm maintaining a general practice with an emphasis towards bankruptcy law and commercial litigation.

Legal Assistant
A native of Lexington, Drew Ellis graduated from the University of Kentucky with a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in English before enrolling in Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law where he obtained a juris doctorate (J.D.) degree in 2009. Following his admission to the Alabama Bar, Mr. Ellis practiced at one of the most prestigious law firms in the Southeast representing business and corporate clients in general litigation, securities litigation, professional liability, antitrust investigations, and defending class actions. Subsequently, Mr. Ellis co-founded Lucado Ellis LLP, a boutique business and commercial litigation firm developing a broad-spectrum business practice representing clients in matters including, but not limited to, business and commercial disputes, shareholder oppression, business formation, transfer and sale of ownership interest, contract negotiation, corporate drafting and commercial workouts.
Upon joining Cloud Willis & Ellis in 2014, Mr. Ellis has continued to focus his practice in the areas of business and commercial law, corporate law, real estate, property, creditors’ rights, landlord-tenant law and while also assisting clients in business formation, planning, financing, and negotiating the purchase and/or sell of ownership interest. Mr. Ellis also provides general counsel services to small business and closely held corporation clients.
Mr. Ellis practices in all state and federal courts in Alabama as well as the Northern District of Florida, and the U.S. Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. He is an active member of the Birmingham Bar Association, BBA Future Leadership Forum Committee, Alabama Defense Research Institute Alabama Defense Lawyers Association and the Alabama Lenders Association. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Steven Bode attended the University of Alabama, where he graduated with a B.S. in Commerce and Business Administration in 2014. Steven received his J.D. and MBA in August of 2017 from Samford University. Steven is licensed to practice law in the state of Alabama and is also admitted to the United States Court for the Northern District of Alabama. Steven is committed to excellence in his practice and service to his clients.
Coming from a family of entrepreneurial real estate developers and real estate attorneys, Steven is well-versed in both real estate and business law. Steven currently serves on the Board of Directors for a regional water utility company. Steven also currently serves as President of the Greater Birmingham YMCA Junior Board. Steven and his wife, Catherine, live in Homewood. In his free time, Steven enjoys golf, tennis, farming, hunting, cheering on the Crimson Tide, and volunteering through the YMCA.
Thomas Chase Lacy is a native of Stevenson, Alabama where he graduated from North Jackson High School in 2012. He graduated with honors from The University of Alabama in 2016. While at Alabama, he studied criminal justice and history while working as a clerk for the law firm of Rosen Harwood, PA. In 2019, Chase graduated from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. He was licensed to practice law and admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 2019.
Chase has experience in a variety of areas from his work during law school. Currently, his primary practice areas are creditors’ rights, landlord tenant law, and real estate. He is a member of the Birmingham Bar Association and Young Lawyers Section of the Alabama Bar. Chase is also a member of the Greater Birmingham YMCA. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis and basketball.
